About the Event

In this history class students will learn about the life and life-saving inventions of Garrett Morgan.  

Class Outline: 

  • Introductions
  • Teacher will tell the story of Garrett Morgan, with the help of PowerPoint Slides
  • Students color a gas mask
  • Watch a short video clip about his gas mask invention & discussion
  • Do a traffic light coloring activity & discussion
  • Complete Garrett Morgan activity sheet with teacher
